It was five informative and interesting days \u2013 the first Help-in-Hand \u201cPainless 2025\u201d course took place in Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly before the pandemic, Dr Horaczek and Robert Chevara had the idea of setting up their own aid project after doing charity work in a clinic for destitute people in Bagan (Myanmar).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the name \u201cHelp-in-Hand\u201c, doctors from developing countries would be given the opportunity to receive sound and practical training in pain therapy procedures. To this end, Dr Horaczek developed a completely new teaching concept that combines training in Berlin with digital media and on-site support in the home country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Horaczek used his contacts with leading neurosurgical colleagues in several countries in Africa and Asia, and together they selected suitable candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the COVID-19 epidemic interrupted the project, Dr Horaczek and his practice partners from Inter Neuro, Dr Muskala and PD Dr Bayerl, have now successfully completed the first 5-day course with six doctors from Kenya, Nigeria, and the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feedback was overwhelming, and the next course is already being planned.
