What are the most common causes of back pain?
- Myofascial pain syndrome
with intractable muscle tension of the spine and trunk
- Blocking of the vertebral joints
and the surrounding ligaments from the head to the sacroiliac joint
- Vertebral (joint) facet syndrome
with pain in the back, groin and buttocks caused by wear on the vertebral joints as well as narrowing of the nerve exit canal
- Spondylolisthesis
with corresponding irritation of the nerve root and movement-related back pain
- Nerve root pressure syndrome
with should-arm pain and sciatica syptoms, tingling and numbness caused by discprotrusion or prolapse constricting the spinal cord or nerve root
- Wear in the center of the intervertebral disc and fiber ring with pain stimulation in the posterior part of the disc and surrounding ligaments
- Postnecleotomy syndrome
i.e. dragging back pain after spinal operations caused by spondylolisthesis, inflammatory processes or scar formation
